Animals Can't Speak, We Have To Be Their Voice

There are many humane societies out there looking for people like you to adopt their animals, but did you realize there are also many rescues of all breeds of dogs? These rescues will remove dogs from the societies and put them into foster homes, this way the people can access the dogs personality, safeness with children, if they have aggression and how they react to being in a home. Dogs are so much different when being in a shelter environment being kept in a cage. They go through a tremendous amount of stress being in a situation like that.

Many people don't realize things dogs go through. I have seen dogs that have been strays, that have been hit by cars and just left with their wounds and broken bones. There are dogs out there being left in their homes when their family moves away or left in a shed, no food, water or heat! These dogs have been rescued and given another chance at life. Myself, foster dogs for rescues, we get to meet potential adopters and see if they are a good match for a particular dog. Its a very rewarding job!

There are numerous shows on television that show what animals go through. ie. Animal Planet. They have shown puppy mills, which is where the dogs are left in wire cages, even the bottoms, nothing cozy to lay on and half the time not fed or even have human contact. Those dogs are just in contact with human when they are bred and put back in the cage. When it's time for them to give birth, they are not taken out of these cages, the puppies live in there too. Disgusting huh!?

So, the next time you think about wanting to get a dog, please do your research, don't buy from a pet store. As one rescue says, Until there are none, rescue one! If there's a certain breed of dog you would like and can't find a rescue, I can be sure to help!!

It is so sad to see what people do to animals instead of using a more humane way of turning them over to a loving home. I appreciate your hub.
